To get married in the City Clerk’s Office, the couple must pay a fee of $25 by credit card or money order payable to the City Clerk. You can schedule an in-person marriage ceremony with the City Clerk.
A couple can have a civil marriage ceremony in the City Clerk’s Office of New York. Usually, marriage ceremonies are held during regular business hours here. The partners should arrive with the same identification that was brought at the time of obtaining a marriage license.
The marriage at the City Clerk’s Office requires at least one witness of 18 years or above. The witness of the marriage must carry a proper identification document with him/her. As of now, because of Covid-19 restrictions, no guest is permitted other than the witness of the marriage in the ceremony.
The couple must fulfill these requirements and the marriage ceremony can be canceled if the couple arrives after the appointment date.

The couple can arrange a civil or religious marriage ceremony outside of the City Clerk’s Office in any location within New York City.
