You can visit many beautiful and eloquent venues where you plan to have your ceremony and reception and even taste the food. You can walk into a florist and look at amazing flower arrangements. You can go hear a band play, listen to them on a recording or video, or check out a live DJ. You can look at a photographer or videographer’s work in his studio and some will be happy to come to your home. You can even select your wedding cake from a photograph.
And let’s not forget the selection of the brides wedding dress and the groom’s tuxedo. Just another process that takes place during the planning stages of your wedding day.
You can’t, however, see a wedding officiant perform a ceremony unless you attend an actual wedding. So what’s the next best thing?

Lindy and I appreciate all of the help you gave us in selecting a spot, getting licenses, and finding a photographer on a day’s notice! Strawberry Fields was a fantastic location; a couple of out-of-towners like us could never have found that site on our own. Your instructions and friends at city hall made getting a license a breeze, and thank you for recommending Jorg Windau, the pictures are fantastic!
We have placed the wonderful wedding vows you sent us in a frame in the living room. They, along with a couple of photos, will serve as a lifelong reminder of our fantastic wedding in Central Park and of our commitment and promises to one another.

Captain Arnold, Your presence in your Captain’s Uniform and knowing you are an ordained Chaplain was so meaningful to us. The Heavens opened up on April 2nd with showers of Joy for Ray and I–ALSO, for all of our guests. They asked us–Where did you meet him? Ray–Is he a friend of yours? Jackie–Tell us how do you know him?–To Ray and Jackie–That was the most beautiful and meaningful ceremony we have ever heard.
Again–Amidst all the showers of Joy–Jackie’s sister Carol said that she is going to find herself a husband and have you marry her. Ray and I wanted to include all of our guests from near and far. You made this all possible with the poetry and readings which were written and read by family. We could not imagine the fineness and elegance of it all

Thank you for coming all the way out to Nassau Point to marry us. We could not think of a more perfect place for us to get married. Every New Year’s Day our family gets together in Nassau Point to start the New Year off being together. I knew we made the right decision to also start our married life off on that same day with our loved ones surrounding us.
The weather could not have been more perfect. The ceremony was very emotional, touching and brought everyone to tears of joy. To be able to marry the one you love surrounded by the people who are most important in your life is a gift that we both cherish.

Our family was most interested and fascinated with those brilliant magic tricks you entertained them with. The children loved the little animals you made from beads. Everyone was very impressed.

Since our wedding on December 11, 2004, the honeymoon, Christmas, New Year’s and then finally trying to get back into the swing of things – this is the first downtime I’ve had to collect my thoughts. First and foremost, I want to thank you for not only the most memorable ceremony anyone could have asked for but also the support you had given to us leading up to that moment. I don’t think things would have gone as smoothly as they did if it wasn’t for the guidance you gave. Getting married is a nervous time for everyone and when I was at my breaking point I just picked up the phone like you said, called you and you calmed me down. We would like to, in fact, we need to thank you for adding immeasurably to our very special day. With all the decisions that had to be made, all the planning that needed to take place, we can easily say that choosing you to perform our ceremony was the easiest and most rewarding. Your attention to every detail and suggestion to include our families in the ceremony made for an even more memorable day. The lighting of the Unity candle tapers by our mothers and including Trevor in the exchanging of rings as a sign of our commitment to him as parents touched our hearts.
The ceremony itself, with words that so accurately expressed our feelings for each other, was what made that day our day. All lifelong commitments should start with such deeply moving feelings. Your thoughts of our future and what lay ahead continue to inspire us each time we reminisce. Please know that we appreciate you and thank you.

Yes, we did receive the copy of the marriage license, the vows, and the picture. It was the first wedding picture that we had. I did want to also thank you for the beautiful way that you had printed out our wedding vows. I have a frame already to put it in. What else can I say, I was definitely overwhelmed by all of your words as you could probably tell with all the tears of joy in my eyes.
I also wanted to thank you for not getting upset when the ceremony did not start on time.
Everything was perfect from you, it truly will be a day I will never forget.

I am especially grateful because there were times I definitely needed to speak with someone about some issues and when no one else was there, you were. We could never have done it without you and certainly, we see how very important the ceremony is, more so than the reception. Many of our guests at the reception, later on, had told us what a beautiful and smooth ceremony it was and that it also touched their hearts as well.

Well, we are back from our honeymoon and getting on with regular life. I wanted to send you a note to thank you for a wonderful ceremony just as you had promised.
As I had told you before, this was both Robert’s and my 2nd wedding and I wanted to be sure that it wasn’t going to be like a typical 1st wedding ceremony, there wasn’t going to be the traditional wedding march played and quite honestly I just wanted it to be unique to our situation. You assured me that it would be and you didn’t disappoint me at all. I was so happy with your very heartfelt words and my friends and family haven’t stopped saying what a wonderful and special ceremony it was. When making my wedding plans, I was constantly told by so many of the different people I needed to hire that their part of the wedding was the most important. The DJ said he was, the photographer said he was and I even think the florist said they were….. I knew better because quite honestly I had been there and done that!!!! I knew that the true most important part was the ceremony itself, the moment when I would become the wife of the man I truly loved and the memory of that special time will be with me forever. Not the photographer’s talented way of posing me and my family, not the great music that played, but the strong deep felt the inspirational way that I became married to my soul mate and best friend in life. I have you to thank for just that. I will remember that time for the rest of my life. I am so happy to have that memory with me forever. You are a special person with a special purpose in life and I am so happy that I found you because it just wouldn’t have been the same without you!
