Married at the Café on the Green (Bayside, New York)

    Dear Captain Arnold,

To say that your ceremony was special – from the opening love song you recommended, to the moment Lou and I said ‘I do’ – does not even begin to express the beauty of your words. Inspiring, thought provoking, sincere and with conviction are just a few expressions that instantly come to mind.

You told us that many of our guests would be moved by your words. They were, and so were we! Your ‘Ceremonial Wedding Creation’ gives new meaning to the word ‘Special’. You are one of a kind, your words of wisdom are also ‘one of a kind’, but they are meant for everyone. May we all listen well.

    Affectionately,
    Judy and Lou

    To Captain Arnold,

There are no words that can be written or expressed that can be compared to the words you shared at our wedding.

Almost the entire night all everyone was able to speak about was the ceremony you performed and the words you spoke.

You helped make this day very special for us, and a ceremony our daughter will always remember for the rest of her life. We are forever grateful to you.

The 2 years we waited from the day we first spoke was well worth it.

Thank You again for being part of this special day in all of our lives.

    Dearest Capt. Arnold.

Thank you so very much for the letter you sent to us – It was so great to have both the picture of all of us 3 together, and also to have our wedding vows. It is always a joy to read it over and over again 🙂

Also, thank you for the Christmas card you sent us:-)

About the ceremony, despite all that we had to go through, before we could get married, it was the best day in both of our lives. Even you must have thought: wonder if she had gotten cold feet or such??… 1 ½ hours is a loooooooooong time to wait….;-)

I felt so bad that it all went that wrong with the limo driver, and that it made all of you stand out there in the cold and not being able to do anything but wait…. We can’t thank you enough, that you still had the time to perform our ceremony. It was such a nice ceremony, and you where just the perfect one to perform it for us.

We seriously couldn’t have chosen a better person, than you, to perform it for us. It is us, who thank you for letting us be a part of your life, even though it was brief. We are more sure about being together now, than ever. We both believe, there’s a reason for everything, and the reason would, without a doubt, be that we had to prove to each other, that this was really what we wanted. You know how people say, when you get married, nothing changes. We were of that opinion too…. But we both feel that something has changed, and that is, that we both feel even stronger connected now, than ever before. Our love for each other is growing stronger and more powerful for every day that goes by! We are so happy that we got married, and did it in New York.

It will forever be in our hearts and spirits. Both you and New York!

    Thank you once again!

With all the love and respect
    Stina and Bo

    Dear Captain Arnold,

Firstly sorry to have taken so long to get in touch with you, it has been one long round of either visiting people or having them visit us since we returned from NY. Finally it is just me, Mark, four dogs, two cats and I am able to sit at this machine and write my thank yous.

What a brilliant day we had. The sun shone, as you said, ordered especially and everything was just perfect. Thank you for all of the help that you gave to us prior to the wedding. It was very helpful to a strange but pleasant English lady to have a real live American, with all of the answers at the end of e-mail! We loved the vows that you had written, but I was disappointed that Mark did not agree to give me his wallet, now and forever!

Clive, who is one of my dearest friends thought that that you were amazing. Clive kept commenting that you were VFM (value for money) which believe me, is a complement of the highest order and only given to people who truly deserve it.

Thank you also for entertaining us all in the restaurant. Very magical that was!

We have today received the marriage licence along with the copy of the vows that we made. That was very special and is something that we will definitely keep in pride of place.

Finally, attached are a few photographs from the day. I love the one of you and Clive. Sal, our driver, actually took us back to the airport, he was also full of praise for you and really like the fact that you took the trouble to keep him company whilst the photographs were being taken.

All the very best to you and your’s, enjoy your 50th wedding anniversary celebrations, have a wonderful 2007 and please keep in touch.

    Much love
    Em & Mark

AND A NOTE FROM JENNIFER’S MOM
    Dear Captain Arnold,

I wanted to write and thank you for the important role that you played in making Jennifer and Billy's wedding a very special event. Your sensitive stlye and kindness was evident and appreciated by everyone in the chapel. Your insight into marriage and the advice you provided, will surely help guide them for a lifetime. Each part of the ceremony was heartfelt and meaningful for not only the bride and groom, but for all the guests. As the mother of the bride my heart was filled with so many emotions. Listening to the ceremony touched my heart in a way that I will hold dear forever. All of my friends and family came to me during the evening to tell me how wonderful the ceremony was, and how special you were. The perfect combination of your sweetness, sensitivity and humor made the ceremony absolutely perfect. I feel so fortunate that you married the children. The message you provided, gave them a wonderful beginning on the journey of marriage and a life together. Thanks again for making the wedding such a fabulous event.

    Fondly

Married Aboard the “Norwegian Spirit” Norwegian Cruise Lines (Port of New York, NY)

    Dear Captain Arnold,

We hope this letter finds you well, and would like to wish you and your family a very Happy and Healthy 2007.

I don’t really know how to start telling you how much we enjoyed our wedding on the Norwegian Spirit on November 19th, 2006. As you know we had waited a long time to cement our love for each other and your words were more than perfect. You made us laugh and cry and we will never forget you for making our special day the best it could ever be. You could not have done more, or said more, to enhance what meant a lot to us both. Please add a huge thank you to Mimi also. She was a darling.

It was our pleasure to have met you, now I know why we had to wait so long to get married, it was because we hadn’t met you, and I am so pleased that we waited for the best man for the job. Your name will come up often I’m sure in our thoughts and chats.

Takes special care, and if you feel like a trip to Europe, please look us up as it would be a pleasure to show you around our part of Spain. Again many, many thanks. God bless you and your family.

Lot’s of love and all best wishes.

    FROM: New York, NY
    WEDDING DATE -
    WEDDING LOCATION:

Married at their home in NYC (New York, New York)

    Dear Captain Arnold,

We wanted to thank you again for the beautiful and memorable ceremony you conducted for our wedding. Your adaptability is amazing.

We wanted something very small and intimate, and although you are probably used to doing much larger and elaborate weddings, you were able to create a magical feeling right in our small living room.

Your ceremony combined the best elements of formality and informality, both touching and humorous, and we thank you for blessing us with these wonderful memories.

We were truly inspired, and we can only hope that our marriage lasts as long as has yours, with your lovely wife Sheila.

We are grateful for your kindness and strength.

    Sincerely,
    Naima & Jeremy Rocklin
