Dear Captain Arnold,

Firstly sorry to have taken so long to get in touch with you, it has been one long round of either visiting people or having them visit us since we returned from NY. Finally, it is just me, Mark, four dogs, two cats and I am able to sit at this machine and write my thank yous.

What a brilliant day we had. The sun shone, as you said, ordered especially and everything was just perfect. Thank you for all of the help that you gave to us prior to the wedding. It was very helpful to a strange but pleasant English lady to have a real live American, with all of the answers at the end of e-mail! We loved the vows that you had written, but I was disappointed that Mark did not agree to give me his wallet, now and forever!

Clive, who is one of my dearest friends thought that you were amazing. Clive kept commenting that you were VFM (value for money) which believe me, is a compliment of the highest order and only given to people who truly deserve it.

Thank you also for entertaining us all in the restaurant. Very magical that was!

We have today received the marriage license along with the copy of the vows that we made. That was very special and is something that we will definitely keep in pride of place.

Finally, attached are a few photographs from the day. I love the one of you and Clive. Sal, our driver, actually took us back to the airport, he was also full of praise for you and really like the fact that you took the trouble to keep him company whilst the photographs were being taken.
